Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your letter of the 10 th inst., regarding Consular charges, and whilst thanking you for permitting us to debit your account with these charges, we have been able to charge same on our invoice as the credit value was sufficient to cover.

Your bankers agreed to pay the inclusive invoice value with recourse to ourselves. We shall be happy, therefore, if you will instruct your bankers to release us from the indemnity we gave them.
